To most homeowners, security system signs may be more than an advertisement for the company that installed their burglar alarm as they hope it serves as a deterrent to crime as well. To the more experienced burglar security system signs act as a warning that a system has been installed and unless they are willing to take a chance on being able to quickly beat the system, they tend to move on to another residence that appears to lack protection.

However, security system signs are not limited to use in the front yard. Many company’s also supply small window stickers that can be placed on the windows of homes and businesses and still others provide the security system signs for vehicles in which an alarm has been installed.
For many the use of security system signs is considered a warning to those who might consider breaking into a home, business or vehicle and as far as the owner is concerned, they had the chance to back away and move on to an unprotected property. If they choose to violate the property in spite of the presence of security system signs, they deserve whatever punishment they get when they get caught by the alarm system.
